Transactional & Triggered Emails

Deliverables: Emails

Role: Project Manager & Digital Designer

Project lead and designer, managing the overall process and timeline working directly with our creative director, copy writer, email specialist, developers, and customer happiness team to update our transactional and triggered emails.

Our focus was to align with the updated brand standards and website UX/UI adjustments made during a site migration to a new web platform. Emphasis was made on designing them to be more mobile friendly and easily updatable, while also being able have them be left to run with little to no needed maintenance.

Update process

We reviewed the original versions of the triggered and transactional emails to not only update the design, but also see if we could improve the customer experience by adding or changing the content within the emails. After finalizing designs, I worked directly with our email specialist and developer to build out and QA the new versions.

Email Change Examples

  • Model imagery was removed to avoid needing replaced, due to imagery expiration and product availability.

  • Added order details including: product image, name, details, and quantity. In addition, we also included customer service and help center links for less friction when needing to make a change or check on order updates.

  • The overall design was updated to match the order process experience on site, as well as, incorporate the new brand colors and element styling.

Project Highlight

Mobile First

Designed with a focus on the mobile layout and then adjusted the desktop display. Worked with our developer to keep the designs within email coding parameters.
